The Portland Country Dance Community is a non-profit organization that promotes, preserves, and teaches traditional English and American music and dance in metropolitan Portland, Oregon. Our activities and programs include:
|English Country Dances:||⋅ Every Friday evening at the Burlingame Water Tower Dance Hall
⋅ 2nd Sunday afternoons from October thru July, for an Advanced Dance at The Renaissance School
|Contra Dances:||⋅ PCDC hosts the 2nd, 4th and 5th Saturday evenings of every month at the Fulton Community Center|
|Family Dances:||⋅ The 2nd Saturdays in October, November, January, February, March and April at the Fulton Community Center|
|Special Dances:||⋅ Portland Megaband Benefit Contra Dance, 2nd Saturday in March.
⋅ Portland English Country Ball, 4th Saturday weekend in October.
⋅ New Year’s Contra Dance.
|Dance Weekends:||⋅ Portland Raindance, our spring in-town dance weekend, the last weekend in April.
⋅ Northwest Passage, ou Labor Day Weekend residential Dance Camp.
|Music Jams and Classes:||⋅ Dance Tune Sessions, 2nd Thursdays, October thru May.
⋅ Informal member-led music jam sessions, 1st & 3rd Mondays for Contra tunes, and 4th Wednesdays for English Country Dance tunes.
|PCDC Grants:||⋅ PCDC Grants Fund – to help PCDC members attend dance and music camps and workshops.|
